Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex was constructed in 1982 to hold Asian Games. For the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, 2010,the existing swimming pool complex has now been upgraded and renovated with the latest state of art facilities so as to meet the international standards required for hosting world class aquatic events. “TOURIST VISA ON ARRIVAL” (VOA) SCHEME : JANUARY – JUNE, 2010

As a facilitative measure to attract more foreign tourists to India, Government has launched a Scheme of “Visa on Arrival” (VoA) from January 2010 for citizens of five countries, viz. Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Singapore, visiting India for tourism purposes. During the period January – June, 2010, a total number of 3151 VoAs were issued under this Scheme.
