Bus Rapid Transit System

Under JNNURM, Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) projects have been approved in 10 cities, namely Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Bhopal, Indore, Pune, Jaipur and Kolkata. Out of these 10, BRTS have become operational in Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Pune.

Government of India has not conducted any Survey in regard to the wastage of fuel at crossings in completed BRTS projects at Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Pune.
