As per the available information with the Ministry of Law & Justice, the number of cases pending in the High Courts up to 31.12.2010 is given below:

Qtr. ending on31.03.09 : 39,55,224

Qtr. ending on 31.12.10 : 42,49,344

As per latest available information, the number of cases disposed of in the High Courts from 01.04.2009 to 31.12.2009 is 12,41,393; and from 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2010, is 16,77,863.
