The Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs Shri V. Narayanasamy has said that four sites from India figure in the list of endangered heritage sites compiled by World Monument Fund in 2010. These are:
1. Chiktan Castle, Kargil (J&K)
2. Dechen Namgyal Gonpa, Nyoma (J&K)
3. Historic Civic Centre, Shimla (H. P.)
4. Kothi/Palace at Mahmudabad, Distt. Sitapur (U.P).
none of these monuments is under the protection and control of Archaeological Survey of India he said in Loksabha.
