The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum & Natural Gas has submitted a report on pricing of petroleum products in 2005. The arguments, observations and recommendations made in this provide valuable insight. They need to be implemented even in the current context. The Kirit Parikh report is contrary to the recommendations of Parliamentary Standing Committee in which members of all political parties were represented.
