Rice Procurement Touches 181 Lakh Tonne

Rice procurement in the Kharif Marketing Season, 2011-12 (October-September), has crossed the mark of 181 lakh tonne. By January 10, 2012, in the season, 181,10,222 tonne rice has been procured by various government agencies while during the last Kharif Mkt Season it was 154, 42,244 tonne.

Chhatisgarh procured 26,19,139 tonne of rice followed by Andhra Pradesh 20,90,594 tonne and Haryana 19,66,167 tonne of rice.
